Independent assortment of Mendel was under in framing

When two or more pairs of contrasting traits are brought together in a cross, the  inheritance of one pair of trait is independent of other pair of trait. The random distribution of alleles to the gametes occurs, when genes are located on different chromosomes. The distribution of one pair of alleles is independent of the other pair, is called law of independent  assortment.
