India has been observing[[1]] as National Consumers’ Day.

Every December 24th is celebrated as National Consumer Day with a specific theme in India. That day, the Consumer Protection Act of 1986 was approved by the President. The enactment of this law is seen as a historic milestone in the national consumer movement.
