Detailed Solution

Indian Parliament was originally known as Council house.
The Indian Parliament meets in New Delhi at the Parliament House. It is situated on Sansad Marg, which crosses the Central Vista and is surrounded by the India Gate, the war memorial, the prime minister's office and residence, ministerial buildings, and other administrative units of the Indian government. It is situated 750 metres from the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha represent the lower and upper chambers of India's bicameral parliament, respectively. The structure was built between 1921 and 1927 and was designed by British architects Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker. It became operational in January 1927 as the Imperial Legislative Council's office. After the British left India, it was taken over by the Constituent Assembly, and the Indian Constitution took effect in 1950.
