Detailed Solution

The grazing tax hurt Indian pastoralists. The tax is known as the grazing tax or tax per head. It had a tremendous negative impact on pastoralists in India. The colonial government of India implemented the grazing tax in the middle of the 19th century. Pastoralists needed to pay tax on the number of heads of cattle they kept for grazing. Because pastoralists had to spend a lot of money on cattle and maintain a large herd, it impacted their personal lives and the lives of their animals. In addition, pastoralists had difficulty paying the per-head tax because it was expensive.
