Concept- Industrial melanism is an example of natural selection. Growth of black moths due to industrial pollution is referred to as industrial melanism.
 Before industrial melanism white moths were able to hide on the surface of trees  and black moth were easily became the prey of the predators  but after industrial melanism tress surface become dark and dark moth were able to hide on the surface of the trees and white moth become easy prey of  the predators.
Hence, industrial melanism is a type of natural selection.
