Intensity of scattered light varies inversely as the fourth power of the wavelength of incident light.
It can be written as
Intensity of scattered light, I 1(wavelength, λ)4
In other words, the more will be the length of the wavelength the less will be intensity of light scattering. The light of the shorter wavelength will scatter more effectively. This relation holds when the size of air molecules is much smaller than the wavelength of the light incident.
