Is CFC banned now?

Yes, the production and import of CFCs for general use are now banned globally. The Montreal Protocol has been extremely successful. The phase-out for developed countries was largely completed by 1996, and for developing countries, a near-total phase-out was achieved by 2010.

There might be minor, highly specific exceptions for "essential uses" (like in some medical inhalers or laboratory equipment), but for all practical purposes in consumer and industrial goods, CFCs are banned and no longer in production.
