Detailed Solution

Acids are chemical substance which on dissolving in water produces hydrogen (H+) ions. All acids produce hydrogen ions on dissociation in water, which marks their acidic character. But the aqueous solution of glucose (C6H12O6) and alcohol (CH3OH) do not show acidic character because they do not produce hydrogen ions on dissociation.

Therefore, it is true that all acids contain hydrogen, but all hydrogen containing compounds are not acids.
