Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
Carbon dioxide is the waste product involved in the aerobic respiration of plants and oxygen is the waste product of photosynthesis. In the photosynthesis process, green plants make their own food from carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight. And the prepared food is glucose. To prepare the one molecule of glucose, by the process of photosynthesis six molecules of carbon dioxide and six molecules of water are needed. Required six oxygen molecules are released as a waste product. This oxygen is formed due to the splitting of water by the process of photolysis during light reactions. Also, the by-products of the reaction are water and carbon dioxide both of which are eliminated as waste products.
