Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
The caterpillars shed their skin when they grow in size, but humans do not. During the process of moulting, a caterpillar sheds its skin. They have an exoskeleton, which means that they are enclosed inside their skin. For the feeding period, a silkworm sleeps for 24 hrs for 4 times each at 6 days. Then, it grows in size, and its skin cracks, leading to moulting. The Human body and cells grow with the body gradually therefore, they do not shed skin.
