Lamb’s wool is produced from the baby sheep. This fibre is highly crimpled and extremely soft and long. It is the superior quality of wool produced all over world. A healthy and an adult sheep produces soft wool. An aged sheep and a sheep, camel or a yak which are diseased produces rough wool. Angora rabbit and Angora goat produces Angora wool (Mohair). A special breed of sheep from Spain which is also now reared in Australia produces Merino wool. Hill goats living in cold regions produces a soft and silky wool known as Pashmina. Tibetian antelope produces a wool from its fleece known as Shahtoosh. This wool is the softest and costliest type of wool.
