Detailed Solution

The above statement is True.
During the first decade of the 20th century, the Indian textile industry boomed. The Swadeshi and Boycott movements increased the demand for Indian clothes and goods. The First World War made the conditions better for the Indian textile industry. Since the Britishers were at war, the English mills were producing goods only to meet the demands of their army and war. This led to an increase in the sales of Indian goods in the home market as the competitive Manchester cloth was unavailable. Even after the war, Manchester goods could not regain their earlier position in the Indian market.
