Detailed Solution

The above statement is True.
Electromagnetic induction is the production of a current as a result of voltage production (electromotive force) caused by a changing magnetic field. This occurs when a conductor is placed in a moving magnetic field (when using an alternating current power source) or when a conductor is constantly moving in a stationary magnetic field. Electric generators operate on the principle of electromagnetic induction. A conductor coil (a tightly wound copper coil on a metal core) is rapidly rotated between the poles of a horseshoe magnet. The magnetic field will interact with the electrons in the conductor, having induced an electric current to flow through it.
