Is it true that fibre can be broadly divided into two types, synthetic and man-made?

Fibres can be mostly categorised into two types, which are, natural and synthetic or manmade. Natural fibres are those fibres which we obtain from either plants or animals. Some examples of natural fibres are wool, silk, cotton etc. Synthetic fibres are the ones which are made by humans. Examples are nylon, acrylic etc. Synthetic and man-made are same thing.
