When current flows through a resistor, heat is produced due to friction called the heating effect of electric current or joules law of heating effect, which can be written as H=I2Rt, Where H=heat produced; I= current flowing inside a conductor; R =resistance, and t= time.From this relation, we can say heat produced in a conductor is directly proportional to the square of the current flowing through it. Because the current term in the power equation is squared, the heat produced by the circuit is more dependent on the current flowing through it than the resistance. This effect is utilised in many electrical devices.
