Issac Newton was the first to come up with the spectrum of sunlight using a glass prism. In his experiment, Newton took a glass prism to get the spectrum. He used that glass prism on a bright morning when the sunlight was significantly available in the environment. He set down the glass prism in such an arrangement that the sun rays were able to pass through that glass prism. After passing through that glass prism, the white light rays were dissociated into seven spectrum colours in the VIBGYOR sequence.
