Magnetic lines never intersect because if two or more lines are in the opposite direction than at the point of intersection, the magnetic field would have two directions in the same position. Since a magnetic field can't point at more than one location simultaneously, it is assumed that the magnetic field lines never intersect. Also, the tangent drawn on the magnetic field line shows the direction of the magnetic field. If two magnetic field lines intersect with each other, then there is a possibility of drawing two tangents at a point that further shows two directions. Hence, two magnetic field directions at a point are impossible.
