It is true that Mahatma Gandhi is the author of the book “Hind Swaraj.” The renowned book was written in the year 1909. In this book, Mahatma Gandhi asserted that the British could establish themselves in India only because of the meek cooperation of the Indians. Therefore, Gandhi believed that the British could be defeated and their rule could be crushed exclusively with the assistance of the non-participation of Indians. To achieve this, Indians must decline to support the British rule and government in India. This was the best way to break British rule and attain swaraj.
