Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
On three of its four sides, the sea encircles the country of India. India's coastal plains run along its west and east coasts. India's coastal plains span up to 7516.6 km and are of two categories: Eastern Coastal Plains and Western Coastal Plains. The Western Coastal Plains run from Kerala in the south to Gujarat in the north, passing through Karnataka, Goa, and Maharashtra along the way. Konkan coast and Malabar coast belong to the Western Coastal plain. The Konkan coast stretches from Daman in the north to Goa in the south. This region's two main crops are rice and cashew. The Malabar Coast got located on the southwest coast of the Indian subcontinent. Geographically, it encompasses the wettest areas of southern India, as the Western Ghats, particularly on their westward-facing mountain slopes, because of monsoon rains. This plain is much larger than the Karnataka plain. It's a low-lying, flat plain. The presence of lakes, lagoons, backwaters, spits, and other bodies of water distinguishes the Malabar coast.
