Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
The meteors that enter the Earth are called meteorites. Meteors enter the Earth's atmosphere at a very high speed and get heated up due to friction in the atmosphere. This tiny object glows and evaporates quickly like a bright streak for a short time. These bright streaks of light, visible in the night sky, are called meteors.
In simplest terms, a meteorite is a rock that falls to Earth from space. Most meteorites are pieces of asteroids, the small rocky bodies that orbit the Sun, mainly between Mars and Jupiter. We cannot see the meteorites during the daytime only because the brightness of the meteorites is very small compared to the brightness of the Sun. That's why it is visible only at night time.
