Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
Chemicals with a high vapour pressure at room temperature are referred to as volatile compounds. The high vapour pressure results from a low boiling point as the particles of the compound evaporate from liquid to gas phase which is known as volatility. Acetone, gasoline, and perfume are all very flammable substances. They evaporate quickly when exposed to bigger surfaces because of their volatile nature. As a result, they evaporate when we apply acetone, gasoline, or perfume to our palm. As we all know, energy is neither created nor destroyed, thus as the liquids evaporate, they take energy from the surface of the palm. This energy loss causes the environment to cool and as a result our palm feels cold.
