Detailed Solution

The above statement is False.
Good conductors are those materials which allow electricity to pass through them easily. Bad conductors are those materials which do not allow electricity to pass through them easily. Examples - Copper, Aluminium. Examples - Rubber, Wood.
Water:
Pure water does not conduct electricity.
Pure water does not contain salt. When sodium chloride is dissolved in water (salt solution), the sodium atoms and chlorine atoms are detached under the influence of the water molecules. They can move about in the water as positively and negatively charged particles. This split-up of charge allows the solution to conduct electricity.
Air:
Air is a mixture of neutral or inert gases. Therefore it contains few or no charged particles or free ions for the conduction of electricity. Hence, the air is a poor conductor of electricity.
Therefore the correct statement would be that pure water and air are bad conductors of electricity.
