When silkworms spin their cocoons, they generate the fine, robust, soft, and shiny fibre known as silk. Growing silkworms on mulberry leaves is the first step in extracting raw silk. Next, the worms' cocoons are disintegrated in boiling water after the pupation process begins to remove the individual long fibres and feed them onto the spinning reel. Finally, reeling is the process of removing silk fibres from cocoons for usage as silk.
