A solute's solubility refers to its capacity to dissolve in a solvent and create a solution. Most solids are more soluble in water as the temperature rises. As the temperature rises, the kinetic energy of the molecules of solvent also increases and they start breaking the solute molecules which are held together by a strong intermolecular force of attraction. Once the solute molecules break, enough space is generated for more solute molecules to come and fill the gaps. Thus, the solubility of solids in liquids increases with an increase in temperature.
