Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
Till the development of Gangaikonda Cholapuram in or around 1025, Thanjavur, the most significant city in the Chola Empire, served as its capital. Raja Raja Chola I (985–1014), a Chola ruler, built Thanjavur's Brihadeeswarar Temple in the first decade of the eleventh century. One of this region's most valued artistic traditions is the Tanjore painting style. It is also renowned for being the birthplace of the percussion instrument Thavil, which is utilised in Indian classical music. It is referred to as the cultural centre of Tamil Nadu and is well-known for its excellent handicrafts and historic temples. Because of its agricultural activities in the Cauvery River delta, Thanjavur district is referred to as "The Rice Bowl of Tamil Nadu." Thanjavur is renowned for its temple, culture, and architecture.
