Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
The largest saltwater lake in India is called Chilika Lake. It is situated at the mouth of the Daya River, which empties into the Bay of Bengal, on the east coast of India, south of the Mahanadi delta. Chilika Lake is a brackish water lake generated when the Northern Circars' sea level rises. When the sea level falls, the saltwater remains a lake, home to many birds migrating from various places. Chilka lake is home to several endangered plant and animal species. The lake is an ecosystem with abundant fisheries. UNESCO has tentatively recognised it as a World Heritage site.
