Is it true that the fleece of a sheep can be removed without shearing?

Australian scientists have developed a method of removing the wool from the sheep without shearing and it is known as Bioclip. The process of shearing is done with a razor or blade and does not hurt them. However, in Bioclip, they inject the sheep with a special hormonal injection and wrap them tightly in the hairnet and approximately three weeks later the fleece can be peeled off.
