Wool is an animal fibre obtained from animals like sheep, goats, camels, rabbits, etc. Two layers of hair are present on these animals' bodies: the coarse beard hair and the soft under hair. The soft under the hair of these animals are taken to make wool fibres. The thick coat of these hairs traps the air in the spaces between them and does not allow the heat to escape. It keeps them warm.
