Detailed Solution

It is true that the network of export trade, run by Indian traders, was disintegrating by the 1750s. Before the machinery age, the export trade network was facilitated by several Indian bankers and merchants who also carried out production finance and supplied exporters with commodities. The island districts were connected to the port towns by supply merchants. They transported the materials to the ports, provided advances to weavers, and purchased the woven fabric from weaving communities. However, these exports declined when the European powers gradually gained power and secured monopoly rights to trade.
