Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
The recombination of seven shades of scattered white light to obtain white light is known as the reorganisation of white light. Any light that gives the same spectrum as sunlight is often referred to as white light. The division of white light into its constituent colours is called dispersion. When white light is passed through a glass prism, it splits into its colour spectrum(in order violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red), and this process of splitting of white light into its constituent colours is called dispersion.
