Detailed Solution

The above statement is true.
Yarn is a group of strands of fibres that are used in the textile industry for knitting, embroidery, weaving, etc. The yard can be made of both natural as well as synthetic fibres but most commonly yarn cotton is used. In synthetic fibres, polyester is widely used in yarn synthesis. Fibre is twisted in an A or Z twist to make fibre, which is known as spinning. Fibres are of two types filament and spun fibres. Spun fibres are short fibres that are spun to get long yarn while filament fibres are long fibres on the cutting of which we get spun fibres.
