Detailed Solution

The Island group of India has an Equatorial type of climate.
India has a rich heritage and diversity; it possesses a vast mainland with two island groups. The beautiful Lakshadweep group of islands lies close to the Malabar Coast of the spice garden state Kerala in India. This group of islands is a composition of small corals. The administrative headquarters of this coral island is called Kavaratti. The island is enriched with a wide variety of flora and fauna, with a bird sanctuary named Pitti Island. Another chain of islands near the Bay Of Bengal is the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, with a warm tropical climate, irregular rainfall during the southwest monsoon and sea breezes. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are close to the equator. Hence they experience an Equatorial climate.
