Detailed Solution

Infrared camera enables vision in the infrared region of the spectra, unlike that in normal cameras where photography is limited to visible spectrum. Thermal infrared images let us see heat and how it is distributed. A thermal infrared camera detects infrared energy and converts it into an electronic signal, which is then processed to produce a thermal image and perform temperature calculations. Thermal imaging cameras have lenses, just like visible light cameras. It can thus be used to see living objects in the night time, when visibility vanishes in the visible spectrum.
