Detailed Solution

Italian revolutionary Giuseppe Mazzini became a member of the secret society of the Carbonari. Giuseppe Mazzini was an Italian revolutionary. He was born in Geona in 1807 and joined Carbonari, a secret society. When he was 24 years old, he tried a revolution in Liguria and was exiled. He then established two secret organisations, the first of which was Young Italy in Marseilles and the second of which was Young Europe in Berne. Both these organisations were composed of like-minded young men from Poland, France, Italy, and the German nations. Mazzini thought that God had created countries to be the basic social structures of humanity. Consequently, Italy could not remain a patchwork of little states and kingdoms. It had to be united into a single republic as part of a larger international coalition.
