Detailed Solution

Jallianwala Bagh is located in Amritsar. It is famous for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre that took place during British rule. Dr Saifuddin Kitchlew and Dr Satya Pal, two nationalist leaders, were detained in Punjab on April 10, 1919, as a result of the Rowlatt Act. On April 13, 1919, protesters assembled in Amritsar's Jalllianwala Bagh, a small park, to voice their opposition to these detentions. General Dyer, a British military official, deemed the assembly illegal, who had deployed a regiment of soldiers and ordered his soldiers to open fire. There were over a thousand fatalities and several injuries. The Jallianwala Bagh atrocity, which qualifies as genocide, shocked the entire nation.
