Detailed Solution

Jallianwala Bagh incident took place on April 13 1919. The British government passed Rowlatt Act on March 10, 1919. Despite several oppositions, they did not listen to any demands of Indians and still passed the law. There was a very intense demonstration against this act in Punjab. Two of the leaders were arrested and sent to custody for the agitation against the British. These two leaders were  Drs. Satyapal and Saifuddin Kitchlew. To oppose this arrest,  on April 13, a mass gathering was organized in Amritsar's Jallianwala Bagh. During the gathering, General Dyer invaded the park. The British army blocked the sole exit, and General Dyer abruptly ordered the men to open fire. Several hundred people died in this gunfire, and many more were wounded, including women and children.
