Detailed Solution

Jammu and Kashmir's nomadic pastoralists are Gujjar Bakarwals. Animal herders who wander from one location to another in search of pasture land and to support their way of life are known as nomadic pastoralists. The Gujjar Bakarwals live in the Siwalik range during the winter and travel to the mountains during the summer. During the winter, they spend their days in the lower woodlands at the foothills of the Himalayas. In a way, pastoralism is favoured by the dry scrub woodlands since they offer better grazing areas for their herds. Consequently, pastoralists relocate to areas with access to dry brush.
