Jute is a natural fibre and is obtained from the stem of the jute plant.
Jute is a long, glossy plant fibre that may be spun into strong, coarse threads. It is mostly grown in tropical countries such as India and Bangladesh. Jute fibre is made from the stalks of the jute plant. After harvesting, jute plant stalks are tied together and soaked in water for around 20 days. After being pulled from the stem in long threads, the fibres are cleaned in clear, running water. Jute may be used to make a variety of products such as jute bags, ropes, and so on.
