Detailed Solution

'Kal Baisakhi' brings rain to West Bengal.
In April and May, rising temperatures cause low-pressure troughs and draw cyclonic and North West winds, resulting in showers and thunderstorms. It is referred to as Kal Baisakhi or nor-westers. Kalbaishakhi occurs between March and the arrival of the monsoon in northeast India. During this season, strong thunderstorms can be seen in the northeastern states of Odisha, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Assam, and West Bengal.
