Detailed Solution

King Kanishka was the greatest king of the Kushana dynasty.
Kanishka was in charge of Afghanistan, the areas north of Kashmir in Central Asia, and the northern section of the Indian subcontinent. He was an admirer of Buddhism. The Saka Era, a system of dating that Kanishka initiated, began in the year 78 AD. His coins demonstrate that he honoured the Greek, Brahmanic and Zoroastrian Gods. Moreover, relations with the Roman Empire during his reign led to growth in trade and commerce. One of the most striking examples of the blending of eastern and western influences is the Gandhara school of painting, where Buddha images are rendered using Greek or classical Roman lines, which flourished during Kanishka's period.
