Detailed Solution

It is given that,

value of books sold in the first week = rs 2,85,891

and Value of books sold in the second week = rs 4,00,768

Total sales of two weeks = 2,85,891+ 4,00,768

                                            =686659

Clearly,

Sales of the second week are greater than the sale in the first week

Therefore,

The differences in sales= 4,00,768 - 2,85,891

The differences in sales = 114877

The sales of the second week are greater than the first week by 114877 rs.
