It is given that the ratio of notes of 100, 50 and 10 rupees is 2:3:5.
Let the number of Rs. 100 be 2x, the number of Rs. 50 be 3x and the number of Rs. 10 be 5x.
Analyse the table for number of notes and amount
Question Image

Total cash with Lakshmi is Rs. 4,00,000.
Now, equation will be 200x+150x+50x=4,00,000.
Simplifying above equation,
400x=400000

x = 4, 00, 000 400

x = 1, 000

Substituting value of x to get the total number of each denomination.
The number of Rs. 100 notes

= 2 x = 2 × 1000 = 2000

.
The number of Rs. 50 notes

= 3 x = 3 × 1000 = 3000

.
The number of Rs. 10 notes

= 5 x = 5 × 1000 = 5000

.
Hence, Lakshmi has 2000,3000 and 5000 notes of Rs 100, Rs. 50, and Rs. 10 respectively.
