Legal Framework Order was passed in Pakistan.
Most countries try to incorporate democratic features in their political structure so that it is accepted by the citizens and there are no internal disturbances caused within the country. Despite this, some countries have witnessed or witnessed non-democratic governments. One of these is Pakistan, which saw military rule. General Pervez Musharraf became the president of Pakistan by overthrowing the popularly elected government. He also brought a constitutional amendment named Legal Framework Order, which gave power to the president to dismiss the national and provincial assemblies. Under this Order, a National Security Council was established, which consisted of military officers. The work of this Council was to supervise the work of the civilian cabinet. Thus, the Pakistani government tried every scheme to portray itself as a democratic nation during this period.
