We need to find the length of the median from B.
Let BE be the median from B on AC.
Then E is the midpoint of AC.
Midpoint of two point (x1,y1) & (x2,y2) is , (x1+x22,y1+y22)
Coordinates of E are (5-12,1+32) i.e. (2, 2),

Distance = (x2-x1)2+(y2+y1)2
BE=(2-1)2+(2+1)2 BE=12+32 BE=10
