Lipoplex is a core-shell structure composed of nucleic acid, polycation and lipid. They are made up of three basic components: a cationic lipid, a neutral lipid, and plasmid DNA. Amphiphilic molecules consist of an ammonium and alkyl chain. They form a lipid bilayer, wherein the lipids are facing each other's hydrophobic parts.
