A: Sucralose is a non-nutritive artificial sweetener. The majority of ingested sucralose is not broken down by the body, so it is non-caloric.
B: Iodine is used as an antiseptic. Iodine in ethanol, or iodine and sodium iodide in a mixture of ethanol and water is called as tincture of iodine.
C: Sodium benzoate is a sodium salt that occurs naturally in some foods, but is also widely used as a chemical preservative. It is used mainly as a food preservative
D: Ranitidine, sold under the trade name Zantac among others, is a medication that decreases stomach acid production. It is commonly used in the treatment of peptic ulcer disease.
