Detailed Solution

Livre was the Unit of currency in France.
Until the 18th century, the livre served as money in France. The Middle English word currant, "in circulation," is where the word currency first appeared. Therefore, the currency is money used and used as a medium of exchange. Usually issued by a government and commonly accepted as a payment method at face value, money comes from coins or paper. From 781 to 1794, the Kingdom of France and its precursor state of West Francia used the livre, which is French for "pound." There were numerous books published, some at the same time. The name for both the coins and the units of account was livre. Nevertheless, the use of livre was abandoned in 1794.
