Dhandi is the local name for a camel herding settlement in Rajasthan. The Maru Raikas herd the camels in Rajasthan. Maru Raikas is the camel herder of the region, and their settlement is called Dhandi. Raikas are a group of people living in Rajasthan. They belong to the land with less rainfall, and the cultivated land keeps on fluctuating. The Raikas of Rajasthan combined cultivation with pastoralism to sustain their livelihood.
