Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru, and Maulana Azad arrived at Sevagram Ashram.
Sevagram Ashram was situated in Wardha, Maharashtra. Gandhiji, Nehru, and Maulana Azad arrived at Wardhain in 1935. Gandhiji wanted to live in Central India and built his ashram here. It was a place in central India where Gandhi made his residence. He named his home Sevagram Ashram. He called it "a town for service". Following that, Maulana Azad, Jawahar Lal Nehru, and Gandhiji came here to visit the ashram when it was ready in 1935. It was the first residence of Mahatma Gandhi, and he started staying there from 1936 until he died in 1948.
