Detailed Solution

The Civil Disobedience Movement was relaunched in India in 1933 by Mahatma Gandhi. The first Civil Disobedience Movement was called off on March 5, 1931, after the colonial government decided to resort to the regressive methods of arresting the satyagrahis. After calling on the movement, Gandhi ended the Gandhi-Irwin Pact, followed by the Round Table Conference in London. However, the negotiations broke down at the Round Table Conference in London, and Gandhi returned to India. Even more repressive cycle introduced in India by the colonial government forced Gandhi to relaunch the Civil Disobedience Movement in 1933. However, this could not continue for long, and the movement lost momentum in 1934.
